Meet the Noahs. Act 2, Scene 3

This for Rochelle Wisoff-Fields Friday Fictioneers.

“Dad, I’m starving.”

“Me too, Shem, me too.”

“Everyone’s complaining. Moan, moan, moan.”

“What’s your mum saying?”

“She’s really pissed off. Thinks it’s your fault. Says she should have been involved in the planning. Says that just because you’re a bloody Patriarch doesn’t mean you should behave like a bloody patriarch and she can’t stand it any more.”

“So she’s angry?”

“And hungry. She says if you’d had any sense you would have done the supermarket shopping before getting the animals on board.”

“Yeah, well. It’s too late now.”

“Slaughter an auroch?”

“Had better. Fetch the axe, will you?”

  3. Poor Noah… poor animals.. next the Dront? — bad luck

  4. dmmacilroy says:

    Dear Patrick,

Pesky details, poor planning and Auroch burgers for forty days and nights. Well done.

  5. And we were always lead to believe it was a perfect plan. Can we trust anything we learned in school? 😉

  6. Jan Brown says:

Great story! So that’s why the aurochs went extinct…he didn’t keep two of them on the ark 🙂

  7. MythRider says:

You truly are imaginative. Great idea.

  8. When I got to Shem, I thought I might have a clue as to at least the main characters. Fun stuff.

  9. Great take! I never would have thought of this one. I bet it would make for a quite a mess to clean up. Nice one!

  10. I would have gone with unicorn, darling, but other than that, a wonderful tale!

  11. So that’s why you can’t get any halfway decent auroch anymore! Very funny!

  12. kz says:

  13. julespaige says:

Reminds me of the current or near current movie with the gent turning into Noah.

Ha! A wonderful rendition of Biblical tale. Humorous and thoughtful. 🙂

  15. Sandra says:

🙂 Great take on the prompt.

  16. ly says:

Nothing like a good grilled auroch!

  17. Really made me laugh out loud. The Noah’s Ark theme taken to the maximum on the laughter metre. Thanks for that, although too bad about the loss of the Auroch…

  18. Dear Patrick,

Not to mention, Mrs. Noah has to clean up after all the livestock in close quarters. I’d be pissed too. Well done…made me laugh out loud.

  19. rgayer55 says:

Poor Noah! Now he has to ride in a boat with an unhappy woman for how many months?

I'd love to read what you think ...
